When photography first started to consume my world, I was already chasing an education in Early Childhood Development.  I have been working with children in a variety of outlets for 8 years now.  My heart is truly poured into children and this is why photographing them, and babies and families, is so special to me.  It is absolutely what I love!  There are a lot of things we can learn from children ~ innocence, purity, curiousity, honesty and good ole' fashion fun! 

As a mom of a school-aged child, I have been disappointed time and again by school portraits.  I realize how important it is to have photos that capture your child's beautiful smile and true, sweet personality!  Thus, Plumb Photography's Boutique School Portraiture was born. I knew that I could offer local schools beautiful images that parents deserve and would cherish. While I market mostly to preschools, I am also flexible in working with dance academies, karate academies, and most other specialized schools.

What Is Boutique/Custom Portraiture? Boutique Portraiture breaks out of the cookie cutter mold of chain photo studios, giving one on one attention to clients, what they desire and envision for their photographic experience, and paying attention to the fine details.  What custom photography ultimately is all about is choice and experience. Custom photography is about finding someone who will photograph your family or school, give you devoted 1:1 attention without worry of who is next ‘in line’ or the feeling of a crowded portrait studio.

Does Boutique/Custom Portraiture Cost More?Generally speaking, yes ~ you are paying for more than just the final cost but also the time, energy, and creative process of the photographer as well as the one on one, detailed attention.  However, for our school portrait packages, we offer a significant discount compared to our regular prices.

How Many Schools To You Do In a Season?Because we are a custom boutique photography company, we take on a lot less schools than the average chain company.  I only take 3 small to average-sized schools per season (spring and autumn) so contact me for more detailed information and to setup your school!!  (We recommend booking a one to two months prior to your desired shoot dates)
